

Oh, and that day in Arcachon where all we did all day was chase down local oysters and drink vintage Champagne… that was a good day as well! It was my 50th birthday and I had the privilege of lunch with Olivier Bernard of Domaine de Chevalier… and if that weren’t enough for one day, a small group of us had dinner at Chateau Margaux with Corinne Mentzelopoulos and her Managing Director, the late Paul Pontallier. Spain is on the bucket list! As for my favorite, that’s tough…in April 2013 at the annual barrel tasting in Bordeaux (UGC event) I had a day that I will never forget.
